It Happens Right Before Your Eyes.
Though you may consider your cat or dog to be your "baby",
one in three adult pets are seven years of age or older. This is
when most veterinarians consider a pet to be entering their senior
citizen years.
The aging process is a progressive and subtle one. Many of the
signs that we assume are just a part of getting old, like having
difficulty getting up in the morning, going up and down stairs,
lumps or bumps, weight gain or loss and bad breath are really very
treatable.
Pet owners need to develop a partnership with their veterinarian.
Start a senior care health diary. Note changes in behavior or physical
conditions. Since pet age seven years to our every one, it is vital
that your veterinarian see your senior pet at least twice a year
If you are a senior citizen person or pet, this is a great time
to be one. The advances in medications and diagnostics can help
to insure that you live a long, happy and healthy life. This is
important because it is "Your Pet
Health Matters."
