"I Didn't Know That!"
As pet owners, we often like to give our furry companions human
characteristics.
Women are sometimes called "catty" when they talk about
each other. Musical composers throughout history have thought cat
chatter was music to the ears. Scarlatti wrote "the Cat's Fugue,"
Chopin penned "the Cat's Waltz," and Rossini wrote a duet
whose only lyrics were repeated cat meows.
Edinburgh Zoo's female chimpanzees are real TV fans. They tend
to settle down when their favorite show is on the tellie. Their
male counterparts just wander off.
If you thought that your kids were loud, howler monkeys have a
structure in their windpipes that amplifies their voices up to 10
miles.
Who ever said that separation made the heart grow fonder, must
have been thinking about the South American maned wolf. This canine
is monogamous for life. They maintain their blissful relationship
by avoiding each other at all times expect during the breeding season.
This is Dr. Bernadine Cruz hoping that if you find your pet "out
of character," see your veterinarian because it's "Your
Pet
Health Matters."
