Pet Care Shines Brightly.

Quincy was a happy 7-year-old terrier except for the fact that he had a deeply invasive lesion that affected the right side of his face. It made it difficult for him to eat or chew on his favorite toys. Conventional surgery would have required removing all of the skin over the affected area. And that was just not possible.

Quincy was referred to the Beckman Laser Institute at the University of California at Irvine. Together, veterinarian George Peavy and M.D., Dr. Stuart Nelson performed a laser procedure which Dr. Nelson had perfected for use on port wine stain lesions in people.

After only two laser treatments and some time to heal, Quincy's lesions are fully resolved.
