Want the Perfect Low Upkeep Pet...Try Just Adding Water.
Gazing at a tankful of fish can be relaxing and mesmerizing. Keeping
your fish healthy is pretty simple.
Overfeeding is one of the most common causes of death in fish.
A little goes a long way. Feed only what your fish can easily eat
in a few minutes. When in doubt, feed less.
A fish bowl can never be too big, but they can be too small. A
good "rule of fin" is to allow one inch of adult fish
for each two to three gallons of water. Remember, gravel, plants
and tank decor will decrease the amount of water available to your
fish.
No one wants to live in a dirty house. Your fish feel the same
way. Changing all the water at once can be messy and ill advised.
It is better to do partial changes. If the water evaporates, topping
off is not a good idea. Harmful waste products can buildup. Check
the quality of your water before adding any to your tank because
it is "Your Pet...Health Matters."
