Pets have Rights Too!

Though most states consider pets as property and do not afford them the same legal rights as people, the majority of pet owners are embracing their cats, dogs, birds, reptiles and other pets as truly a member of the family.

In a recent issue of "Pets: part of the family," is listed a "Pet's Bill of Rights."
It's worth repeating.

They deserve stimulation, mental as well as physical.

Pets have the right to regular exercise.

A pet has the right to have fun.

They deserve good medical care.

Pets have the right to good nutrition. Good food does not need to be expensive.

A pet deserves not to be rejected just because it does not live up to your expectations.

A pet deserves to live with dignity, and when the times comes when the quality of life is no longer what we want for them, to pass on with dignity also.

These rights are important to remember, because it is "Your Pet...Health Matters."
