Which Doctor is Right for Your Pet?
Here are some tips for finding a veterinarian that meets your
needs, and that special member of the family.
First, ask a friend...Who do they go to and why?
Give the office a call...The phone should be answered promptly
and in a friendly manner. They should be willing and able to answer
some brief questions concerning location, cost of office visits
and routine procedures.
Stop in and ask for a tour...Most practices will gladly show you
around. Is the hospital clean, does it smell nice, is the staff
dressed professionally and do the clients look happy?
Make an appointment for a "well pet " examination. When
an emergency arises it's not the best time to start looking for
a new doctor. During the exam, observe how the doctor relates to
your pet and you. If they are great with the pet but the two of
you just don't communicate, find someone else. This may not be the
perfect match.
So when looking for a doctor for your furry, feathered or scaly
pet, take your time, look around, ask questions, because it is "Your
Pet...Health Matters."
