Cardiologist, Dermatologist, Dentists for your pet? I'll tell
you why you may need one.
People consider their pets to be part of the family. They want
them to receive the best medical care possible. Your family veterinarian
is probably a fantastic doctor. He or she can take care of everything
from upset stomachs to routine surgeries. But what if your pet needs
a specialized procedure like a MRI to rule out a brain tumor. What
do you do then?
There are times when our own doctors recommend that we see a specialist.
Your veterinarian may do the same. A dog with a failing heart, may
need a board certified cardiologist to implant a pace maker. A cat,
blinded by cataracts, can have a veterinary ophthalmologist give
it back its sight. There are some specialists that you will only
find in veterinary medicine, doctors that care for zoo animals,
fish, birds, horses and even pot bellied pigs.
So next time your pet needs specialized care, there is probably
a doctor for whatever ails it, because is "Your Pet...Health
